If your hallway has ever given you away before you opened the door, this is the doormat for you. It says out loud what the neighbours already know, and it says it with confidence.

Natural coir with a rough, dense pile that actually takes dirt off shoes rather than moving it around. Black vinyl backing so it stays put. Best under a porch or an overhang — coir is a natural fibre and direct rain will shorten its life.

• Grade A tufted coir coconut fibre

• 24″ × 16″ (61 cm × 40.6 cm), 0.59″ (1.5 cm) thick

• Black vinyl non-slip backing

• For covered outdoor areas

• Shake out or brush clean; do not machine wash
